The incidence of uterine abnormalities

Background: Congenital uterine abnormalities result from abnormal formation, fusion or resorption of the Mullerian ducts during fetal life. These have been associated with an increased rate miscarriage, preterm birth, and other adverse outcomes. Material methods: Was performed a clinical observational retrospective study malformations, diagnosed in Republic Moldova. Pelvic MRI (1.5-3 tesla) contrast without were examined, 01.01.2016 to 20.11.2016. During this time, 190 MRIs according program, 167 included study, 23 excluded, having total partial hysterectomy performed. The age examined persons is between 81 years 6 months. Results: 15 malformations detected, which represent 11.13%. Among detected cases bicorn uterus, 3 didelph 2 agenesis septate uterus one case arcuate unicorn. Conclusions: In it was determined that prevalence unselected population Moldova 11.13%, 1.2%, data are similar correspond international literature.
